The Dixon Police Department (DPD) wants to inform residents of increased police presence in the vicinity of Dixon High School today. This action is a precautionary measure as our officers, in collaboration with Dixon Unified School District (DUSD) officials, are thoroughly investigating anonymous phone calls made to the school that contained threatening content.

We wish to assure the community that there is no active threat to the safety and security of the campus or its students and staff. The steps taken today are out of an abundance of caution, and there is currently no need for parents, students, or residents to come to the school or alter their routines.

Further information will be shared with the public as it becomes available. In the meantime, we kindly request that everyone avoids the area around Dixon High School to facilitate a smooth investigation and ensure the safety of all.
