The Dixon Police Department is proud to announce its participation in the Pink Patch Project, a public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer. This initiative is in collaboration with the Dixon Police Officers Association.

About the Pink Patch Project
The Pink Patch Project is a nationwide effort that involves law enforcement agencies across the country. Officers wear specially designed pink patches on their uniforms throughout the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The goal is to stimulate conversations within the community about the critical importance of early detection and treatment of this devastating disease.

Why Dixon Police Department is Participating
"Breast cancer affects us all, whether directly or indirectly," says Robert Thompson, Chief of Dixon Police Department. "We are honored to with survivors, those currently battling the disease, and their families. Our officers are proud to wear these pink patches as a symbol of our commitment to this cause."

How to Purchase a Pink Patch
Members of the public who wish to support this initiative can purchase their own Dixon Police Department Pink Patch. Residents can purchase the special pink patches for $10.00 each. The patches are available at the public counter at the Dixon Police Department, through email requests sent to admin@dixoncapoa.org and payment made through the DPOA Venmo account, https://venmo.com/DixonPOA.

Proceeds
The Dixon Police Officers Association will donate all the proceeds to a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides personal care and support to breast and ovarian cancer patients and their families. Patches can be purchased through the DPOA Venmo account.
